Eric Cameron is a District Vice President at Manulife Investment Management who has been covering Atlantic Canada for 15 years. He has been able to develop strong business relationships and friendships with the advisors he works with over that period of time. Eric sees the role as being a true consultant that can advise on individual client cases, provide capital market updates, taxation and general industry information by leveraging the extensive resources that he has access to within his organization. The most enjoyable part of his role is interacting with advisors to find the right solutions for their businesses and in turn their clients.
Eric has been in the financial services industry for 22 years and 20 of those have been in a variety of positions within Manulife Investment Management. He started his career at Manulife as an inside sales rep, where he learned the fundamentals of the business working with experienced teams and wholesalers in the Ontario Region. After a few years as an inside sales rep he moved into a management role and managed inside sales for 3 years. This was a rewarding role that he enjoyed, it allowed him to coach, train and help the sales team on a national level. In 2006 he moved back to Atlantic Canada in an external wholesaling role.
Eric grew up in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and attended Acadia University where earned a Batchelor of Arts, Economics. After graduating he moved to Toronto to start his career in the financial services industry. Eric lives in Halifax, NS with his wife, Genaya, daughter Charlotte and dog Mac.
