Institutional manager elevates two veterans to leverage their deep expertise in support of global strategy
The Public Sector Pension Investment Board's (PSP Investments) has named two new senior executives to critical positions supporting the organization's worldwide strategy.
Simon Marc and Oliver Duff will assume the positions of senior vice president, global head of Private Equity and Strategic Partnerships and senior vice president, global head of Credit Investments, respectively.
"These appointments recognize Oliver's and Simon's leadership impact across the organization and leverage their deep expertise, long-term experience and global insight as we continue to achieve our strategic objectives, deliver our mandate and generate returns for contributors and beneficiaries," said Orida, president and chief executive officer.
"As a mature organization that has successfully navigated past market volatility and complex economic cycles, PSP Investments has a track record for strong financial performance and relies on a highly capable and experienced leadership team at global and regional level."
For more than 25 years, (Duff pictured above, left) has worked in the field of leveraged finance.
He joined PSP Investments in September 2016 as managing director, Private Debt, to grow the company's footprint in credit investments across Europe. He later transitioned to senior managing director and global head of Credit Investments.
Duff began his career in leveraged finance at Bankers Trust in London and previously held positions as head of loan syndicate at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining PSP Investments, he was global head of leveraged finance and European head of capital financing at HSBC Bank PLC.
Duff is a trained Chartered Accountant and an Exeter University alumnus.
Marc (above, right) has more than 25 years of expertise investing in private equity.
He joined PSP Investments as managing director, Private Equity in August 2015 to expand the company's private equity presence in Europe and around the world. Later, he was transitioned to senior managing director, and then global head of Private Equity. Throughout that time, he played instrumental roles in the opening of PSP Investments’ London office in 2017 and its Hong Kong office in 2019.
In addition to his prior employment at Goldman Sachs, Marc also held the position of Principal at Permira and Apax Partners before joining PSP Investments.
Marc is a graduate of the Paris-based HEC School of Management.
Additionally, he oversees the Strategic Partnerships team at PSP Investments, which manages partnerships throughout the company's worldwide operations and fosters synergies with institutional and core investment partners.
