Big Six bank's asset management arm launches two fixed income solutions for individual investors
CIBC Asset Management has expanded its shelf of fixed-income solutions with two new globally diversifying strategies run by PIMCO Canada.
"CIBC Asset Management is proud to partner with a world-class investment firm such as PIMCO," said David Scandiffio, President and Chief Executive Officer for CIBC Asset Management.
These solutions are designed to provide clients with a variety of benefits, including income production and modest long-term capital appreciation.
"Through our sub-advisory partnership with PIMCO, we are providing clients with access to the fixed income exposures they need to build and protect their wealth regardless of shifting market conditions," Scandiffio said.
The CIBC Diversified Fixed Income Fund is a bond investment that focuses on high-quality fixed income securities and offers the potential for a consistent stream of income.
Its primary holding will be the PIMCO Monthly Income Fund (Canada), managed by PIMCO, whose multi-sector methodology enables it to seek for the finest income-generating ideas in every market environment, focusing on several sources of income from a worldwide opportunity set.
Meanwhile, the CIBC Global Credit Fund is a good option for investors looking to take advantage of global bond opportunities that may offer a higher yield than developed market government bonds.
The credit areas it focuses on include investment grade credit, high yield, and emerging market bonds, as well as other credit sectors that appear to offer relative value.
