Agreement seen to result in easier administration and delivery of flexible healthcare benefits
In a newly announced agreement, League is providing its Health Benefits Experience (HBX) platform alongside the GroupNet services offered by Canada Life, offering more choice and ease for employers with flexible or modular flex health benefit plans.
“League's HBX platform makes it easy for plan members to find, understand, and use the programs available to them, and helps drive engagement via personalized health programs, communications and concierge services,” said Canada Life Senior Vice-President of Plan Sponsor Services Roger Maguet. “This can mean better health outcomes for our plan members and lower costs for plan sponsors.”
By using the benefits administration capabilities of League’s HBX platform alongside Canada Life’s best-in-class insurance products, employers may be better able to address challenges presented by flexible plans that allow employees to choose coverage on either a cafeteria-style or pre-packaged basis.
“Leading employers have offered flexible and personalized benefit offerings for some time - now they want the right technology in place to support employees in selecting and using what's right for them and their families,” said League founder and CEO Mike Serbinis.
“League's HBX platform leverages the best in plan design, data and technology to deliver personalized support at enrollment and year-round,” he said.
Aside from integrating with over 100 healthcare partners and human resource information service systems, the HBX platform offers a consumer-centric design that emphasizes meaningful benefit communications and education. Participating plan members can also use a mobile and web app to access a digital wallet; health and benefits concierge teams; and personalized health programming.
“We are pleased to be working with a leading insurer like Canada Life to offer a single access hub that permits plan sponsors to easily launch, offer and scale new benefit offerings, and engage plan members with all of their insurance, health and well-being programs,” Serbins said.
