Program aims to get employees thinking about retirement planning
With surveys revealing that few people are making proper plans for their retirement, one Canadian company is attempting to get people on track.
iA Financial Group has announced the launch of its Roadmap program, a group retirement plan and retirement engaging program.
The aim behind the program is straightforward: to help employers provide an innovative approach to group retirement and address the financial education and communication aspects that can be so difficult to manage. It will include campaigns built around visual concepts that aim to educate employees; user-friendly interactive tools; and an analysis that allows for the evaluation of the campaign’s success.
Speaking about the program, Renee Laflamme, the executive vice-president of group benefits and retirement solutions, outlined how the company wants to support clients through every step of retirement planning.
“Group retirement plans are tools used by companies to attract and retain talented employees, but once employed, some employees wait to actively take part in their retirement planning,” he said.
“Our mission is to make employees aware of the importance of committing to reaching their goals and to help them understand the impact of not enrolling in or taking full advantage of the plan.”
