Most recently, Chalifoux was responsible for the overall strategic direction of Desjardins Life Insurance and oversaw its business development activities across Canada. He officially takes over at SSQ on Sept 21.

Chalifoux has held a number of executive positions with major pan-Canadian insurers, both in general insurance and life and health insurance.
