Analyzing data within organizations has never been more important and now a major company has made a key signing
Business analytics has become a crucial part of the way that most major companies approach their business: and now another leading company has jumped on board.
As it attempts to find ways to further improve its bottom line, Manulife Financial Corporation has announced the appointment of Cindy Forbes as its Chief Analytics Officer.
Forbes, who will begin in the role on April 1, will report to Paul Rooney, the company’s senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. She will be responsible for expanding the firm’s analytical capabilities as well as introducing advanced analytical solutions into the business.
According to Rooney, the appointment could have a serious positive impact on the business.
“Analytics are fundamental to Manulife’s customer-centric strategy and the overall improvement of our decision making,” he said. “Cindy will be responsible for building the company’s analytic capability and providing this information to our business leaders to enhance the company’s top and bottom line performance.”
Previously, Forbes had held a number of senior positions within Manulife’s Investment Reinsurance, Group Functions and Asia divisions. Most recently, she was executive vice president and chief actuary. She was named last year as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women of 2015.
