Firm provides customized investment solutions to HNW clients
Franklin Templeton Canada has appointed Manmeet Bhatia as President, CEO, and Director of Fiduciary Trust Canada, a wealth management firm providing customized investment solutions to high-net-worth clients.
According to Duane Green, CEO of Franklin Templeton Canada, Bhatia's focus on digital transformation and personalization makes him a natural leader.
“I am pleased to announce that Manmeet has assumed this new role in which he will continue to focus on evolving our private wealth business and enhancing the client experience with customized mandates that provide access to geographic diversification, alternatives, and sustainable investments,” said Green. “With Manmeet’s unique understanding of the private wealth space and a focus on digital transformation, his appointment is a natural leadership progression.”
Fiduciary Trust Canada, which services entrepreneurs, executives, retirees, and those with cross-border financial interests, will now be supported by Fiduciary Trust International. Green will remain as a Director of Fiduciary Trust Canada and take on the position of Chairman of the Board.

Bhatia (pictured), who is based in Toronto, brings a wealth of experience to his new role as president, CEO, and director of Fiduciary Trust Canada.
He joined Franklin Templeton Canada in 2019 as head of Private Wealth, overseeing Fiduciary Trust Canada and FTC Investor Services Inc.
Prior to this, he held executive and senior leadership positions at various wealth and asset management firms, including Aviso Wealth, Qtrade Financial Group, and Assante Wealth Management.
Bhatia is a highly qualified professional, holding several designations, including CFA charter holder, LIFA, CLU, CIM, and CFP. He is a graduate of the I.H. Asper School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in finance, from the University of Manitoba.
