Despite costliest natural disaster in Canadian history last year, the Alberta economy continued to grow and prosper in 2013 the head of Calgary Economic Development (CED) said Friday. According to the report the city lead five trade and investment missions in 2013 to China and New York City last year; 95% of businesses in the city have fewer than 50 employees, nearly half of those are looking to expand in 2014. Roughly 24,000 new jobs were created — 10% of Canada’s total.
