iA Financial Group has launched a new registered education savings plan designed for families who want to save for their children’s post-secondary education.
The product, “My Education+,” is the newest addition to iA Financial Group’s line of registered education savings plan (RESP) products. The product offers a broad range of segregated funds and a high-interest account with a competitive interest rate, according to an iA Financial Group release.
“It is very important for us to encourage and enable families to save for their children’s education,” said Marie-Claude Poulin, iA’s director of savings and retirement products. “With its guarantee and competitive management fees, My Education+ better meets the needs of our clients and allows them to save more for their children’s future.”
iA has also developed a new electronic RESP enrolment tool for financial security advisors. The tool aims to simplify the preparation of documents required for the sale of an RESP. additionally, clients will now be able to open their own RESP for their child directly on the ia.ca website.
“Our goal is really to make enrolment for clients and the work of advisors easier so that the RESP can become the number one solution for families wanting to save for their children’s education,” said Manon Gauthier, iA vice president of individual savings and retirement. “The government grants offered are a major advantage specific to the RESP, and we want to enable a maximum of families to take advantage of them.”
