More than half of Canadians expect to be working into their retirement according to a new report. The HSBC survey found that 45 per cent plan to semi-retire while 15 per cent do not expect to ever stop working. That compares with just 17 per cent of those who are currently retired but semi-retired first. Of those that plan to semi-retire it was mainly because they wanted to keep working rather than because they couldn’t afford to stop. Other findings of the survey were that 27 per cent of Canadians plan to spend all their money before they die and only 11 per cent are intending to support their adult children.
