The alphabet soup of professional designations is getting harder to digest for Canadians confused about what all those letters after an advisor’s name really mean.
It’s sometimes just as confusing for wealth professionals – something the second-annual WP Magazine survey on certifications is focused on clearing up.

The research study, which officially opened Thursday, will see more than 1,000 advisors rate, rank and reward different designations and their issuing bodies.
The results will be collected and analyzed before being presented to WP readers in the next issue of the magazine as guide to which designations offer the biggest payback for the time and money required to achieve them.
The survey relies on your submissions, which combine easy-to-navigate multiple choice questions with open-ended ones giving brokers enough space to flesh out their comments.
