Wall Street closed with gains Thursday which have a good start to Asian markets which ended the weak with gains; Shanghai was almost 5 per cent higher and is now more than 44 per cent up from this time last year.
European investors are taking a cautious approach to trading so far with markets flat ahead of data including a second reading of UK GDP figures and a European business confidence index.
Wall Street is expected to open flat as analysts digest the ongoing market volatility and how that might affect the Fed’s interest rate policy.
Markets will also be watching for any news coming out of the global economic symposium in Jackson Hole.
