Former big-six bank connected team joins CG's Private Client Group
Canaccord Genuity has announced that the BPS Wealth Management team has joined the firm from CIBC Wood Gundy. BPS is led by Senior Wealth Advisors & Portfolio Managers Tom Porteous, Eric Southam, and Jay Fitch and manages $1.4 billion in client assets.
“We are thrilled to have the BPS team joining CG’s Private Client Group. This move highlights the growing momentum at CG, where we continue to attract the industry’s most respected advisors,” said Matt Cicci, Head of Private Wealth at Canaccord Genuity. “Large, sophisticated practices are increasingly choosing CG because of our unique culture, cutting-edge platform, and unwavering commitment to supporting advisors in elevating their client service. By partnering with CG, these teams can better serve their high-net-worth clients. We look forward to helping BPS Wealth Management take their business to new heights.”
Cicci, as well as Canaccord Genuity CEO Stuart Raftus spoke with Wealth Professional earlier this year about the growing sophistication in the advisory market. They emphasized the value of teams working on a dedicated platform to meet the needs of the modern market.
For their part, the BPS team shared positive sentiments about the move.
“We chose CG because of the firm’s unmatched depth of resources and holistic approach to financial planning. CG’s advanced technology platform allows us to provide more personalized, integrated solutions for our clients, helping them navigate their financial journeys with confidence,” reads a statement attributed to the BPS Wealth Management Team. “With CG’s support, we look forward to elevating our service and offering more comprehensive strategies that align with our clients' evolving needs.”
