The Conference Board of Canada says that companies here are lacking in investment in innovation. The think-tank’s innovation report shows that Canada has improved, from 13th out of 16 countries in its previous report, to 9th now. However although venture capital funding has helped improve entrepreneurial ambition there is a lack of spending on research and development; Canada scores last out of the 16 countries on that metric.
