A new survey shows that Canada’s businesses are optimistic about the year ahead and plan to grow, but it won’t mean a boost to the labour market. The annual Hays Canada poll reveals that 70 per cent of the 3,691 companies responded that they expect their business to grow this year but only 38 per cent plan to hire. More than a third of employers say that staff morale is low and stress levels are creeping up in workplaces.
