CNN Money’s “Fear and Greed” index shows that investors are currently extremely fearful of the market. The index ranges from 0 to 100 with the lower numbers showing fear while higher numbers increase towards “buy everything”. Currently the index is at 7, down from 36 just a few weeks ago. Wall Street is in its worst losing streak since January.
