Fiduciary Trust Canada has a new vice president and portfolio manager who was previously with the firm as an associate.

Danick Dutrisac returns to the firm, a wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, having been with the firm from 2013 to 2016. He will use his 15 years of financial services industry experience to advise high-net-worth families and institutions across Canada.

Dutrisac rejoins from his most recent role as portfolio manager at MD Private Investment Counsel, the discretionary investment management arm of MD Financial Management, where his focus was wealthy physicians.

The fluent English and French speaker is a certified Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and earned a bachelor of social science in economics, graduating with honours from the University of Ottawa.

“I am excited to rejoin Fiduciary Trust Canada, a trusted and proven private wealth boutique,” said Mr. Dutrisac. “I know first-hand how important client service and personalization are to Fiduciary Trust Canada’s core culture. I look forward to building customized, diversified and tax-efficient investment portfolios focused on generating long-term returns with prudent levels of risk.”

Fiduciary Trust Canada has been working with affluent clients for more than 35 years and recently announced a new president and CEO, Manmeet Bhatia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Danick to our team. His experience managing investments and tailoring solutions for a variety of clients make him a valued addition,” said Bhatia.
