But long-time leader will remain actively involved in the company’s next chapter

There’s change at the top at Fiera Capital with the founder of the Canadian asset manager stepping down from his role as chief executive officer.
Jean-Guy Desjardins will make way in the summer for Maxime Ménard as global president and CEO from July 1, 2025, but will continue to be involved in the firm’s strategic development, shaping the firm's investment philosophy and steering global asset allocation across public markets and multi-asset solutions.
"This decision reflects a clear conviction: Maxime is the right leader to take Fiera Capital forward," said Desjardins. "He brings the discipline, integrity, and strategic focus required to execute our vision and strengthen the firm for the long term."
Gabriel Castiglio, currently executive director, global chief legal officer and corporate secretary, will take on the expanded role of executive director and global COO and will collaborate closely with Ménard to optimize the firm’s operational model, manage global operations, and ensure cross-team alignment for scalable growth.
And Lucas Pontillo, currently executive director and global CFO, will expand his responsibilities to also lead Corporate Strategy, partnering with Ménard to define and implement strategic priorities aimed at accelerating the firm's growth.
Ménard and Pontillo each has more than five years on the executive team and have significant institutional knowledge and leadership continuity to the organization.
Since joining Fiera Capital in January 2024 as president and CEO of Fiera Canada and Global Private Wealth, Ménard has played a key role in stabilizing operations and fostering a culture rooted in accountability and performance. He brings extensive experience in the global investment industry and a strong history of building enduring client partnerships.
"I am honoured to lead Fiera Capital into this new chapter," said Maxime Ménard. "We have exceptional talent across the organization, deep roots in Canada and a growing global presence. Our focus is clear: execute with discipline, empower our teams and deliver long-term value for our clients and shareholders."
The changes come as Fiera Capital completes its multi-year evolution into a “regionally empowered” organization, focused on enhancing its investment offerings, strengthening operational discipline, and cultivating deeper client relationships across both public and private markets.
