A new event kicks off in Times Square this morning.
The financial advisory industry finally gets a national holiday. Well, at least in the U.S.
Kicking off today in New York's Times Sqaure is a new event--national financial advisor week, to be held annually the third week of September. According to the fancy website, found here, NFAW aims to "spread awareness about the positive impact financial advisors provide investors in the achievement of their financial goals."
The annual event is to run for the next five days. It is designed to "create awareness about the positive impact financial advisors provide investors" in the achievement of their financial goals. "We have gathered an esteemed group of personal finance experts who possess a vested interest in the education of all American households about retirement planning, college funding, estate planning, and investing," said Nicholas Stuller, CEO of AdviceIQ, a founding sponsor of National Financial Advisor Week in a press release.
AIQ, Inc. publishes a financial advisor directory that combines daily personal financial journalism with listings and rankings of hundreds of pre-vetted advisors. The kick-off event in Times Square this morning featured Nicholas Schorsch, chair of the board of RCS Capital, who delivered the keynote address at Town Hall in Times Square. Schorsch is said to be an expert in REITs. RCS Capital is a company that claims to be the "first institutional investment management firm exclusively focused on retail investors and the alternative investment industry.”
