Rona Birenbaum is very optimistic about the future of women in financial advice
For Rona Birenbaum, founder and president of Caring for Clients, this year’s IWD theme of #balanceforbetter is about living a balanced life.
“How to strike an optimal financial and life balance is something client’s look to us for guidance and it is a core value that we bring to every plan we work on,” she said.
On a personal level, Birenbaum has been through times when her life has been in positive balance and times when it hasn’t.
“Thankfully, I’m in a good space at the moment, so the theme reminds me to recognize where I’m at and try and maintain the healthy balance between work, family, leisure and philanthropy”.
On International Women’s Day on March 8, Birenbaum will visit three female clients and give each of them a rose.
“Maybe I’ll also thank my parents for raising me to believe that I could achieve anything,” she said.
Birenbaum is very optimistic about the future of women in financial advice.
“Women tend to like combining the technical with the human element of service and that’s what consumers want these days,” she told Wealth Professional.
“When I began in my career 25 years ago, I was one of a handful of women in the business and the culture was not welcoming to women. Thankfully, a generation has made a world of difference”.
