Juli Ann Booker: From dance to finance leadership

Juli Ann Booker, VP of Strategy and Operations at Revesco Properties Trust, has been recognized in Wealth Professional’s Top 50 Women in Wealth. In an informative interview with WPTV, Booker reflected on her unconventional career path, the challenges she overcame, and the mentors who shaped her success.

"In 2016, I left my ballet school behind and stepped into the financial industry with no formal education in the field," Booker said. "At first, I had major imposter syndrome. I didn’t even know how to add two plus two in Excel. But I listened, I learned, and I built relationships—and that’s how I got to where I am today."

Booker credits her rapid career rise to an unwavering commitment to growth and mentorship. "I was lucky to have incredible people like Janet LePage and Dave Steele who saw potential in me and pushed me forward," she shared. "One of the biggest lessons I learned was to embrace vulnerability and to never stop learning."

Booker’s approach to leadership centers heavily on listening and relationship-building. "This is a relationship business. Whether it’s a $10 million check or a $20,000 check, that investment is deeply meaningful to someone," she explained. "Listening to clients, understanding their concerns, and advocating for them is what makes a difference."

Reflecting on the role of women in finance, Booker highlighted the importance of confidence and authenticity. "For so long, women were told to act like men in the boardroom. But we don’t have to do that. Leadership is about being yourself, leading with empathy, and knowing your worth."

With Revesco Properties Trust set for significant growth, Booker is focused on the future. "We’re on track to grow to $1 billion in AUM," she said. "It’s an exciting time, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that truly values different perspectives and ideas."
