Data from Statistics Canada shows that manufacturing declined for the second month in row in February. Month-over-month sales were down 1.7 per cent; 2 per cent lower than analysts had expected; auto and aerospace manufacturers were the main drag. Volume of sales was down 2.5 per cent. StatsCan also revised its January figures down to a 3 per cent decline from the previously estimated 1.7 per cent decline.
