A restructuring of Maple Leaf Foods will see its sixth factory closure on December 31 as its Winnipeg plant shuts for good. The 30 employees will leave, retire or move to the firm’s Lagimodiere plant which has been expanded. Two other plants, in Ontario will close next year but Maple Leaf has expanded one in the province and commissioned another.
