A new magazine will arrive on the Canadian wealth management landscape next month, bringing a new and fresh voice and a heightened sense of focus on the needs and desires of advisors.
“These are exciting days here with the launch of Wealth Professional Canada,” says Tim Duce, president and CEO of KMI Publishing and Events in Toronto. “Considering the success of WealthProfessional.ca, we are moving forward to produce a magazine that will be as essential to our readers as the website has become. And I can’t think of a better way to launch Wealth Professional magazine than with an exclusive interview with Sir Richard Branson as our cover feature.”
Included with that Branson profile is an exclusive one-on-one interview with Andrew Marsh, president and CEO of Richardson GMP, along with articles on hot topics such as buying a book of business, succession planning and maximizing revenue through fee-based business.
“The magazine will be a reflection of the wealth management industry, of what is happening today and where the market is headed,” says Duce. “From its coverage of the largest investment dealers and independent firms to the advisors on the frontlines, Wealth Professional Canada will be the heartbeat of the community.”
The October launch of the magazine – which is free to industry professionals through subscription – will be followed up with an in-depth look of the Top 50 Elite Advisors in Canada in January’s issue – an opportunity that the associate publisher of KMI, Trevor Biggs, says will allow the nation’s best advisors to strut their stuff.

“Advisors will have a chance to gain the recognition for their hard work throughout the year,” says Biggs. “It is a great way to give your business a boost and to ensure that all the industry players know who you are. It is a great third-party endorsement that will benefit in your marketing to new and existing clients.”
Understanding the client, social media strategy, brand- and business-building advice from Deloitte Leadership Academy, Harvard Business School and other thought leaders are just a few of the stories that are included in the October issue.
KMI Publishing and Events boasts a family of successful products, including Canadian Real Estate Wealth and Canadian Mortgage Professional magazines. With those magazines and their companion websites, the combined reach in readership is almost 90,000 people.
Complementing the Canadian reach of Wealth Professional Canada magazine is the well-established Wealth Professional Australia as well as financial-services publications in the US.
"KMI has built a strong presence in Canada and has been publishing for financial-services professionals in the US, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region for well over a decade - both online and in print - that gives us unparalleled expertise in the sector," Duce points out.
