The finance minister today announced the awaited decision on the wireless spectrum. James Moore said there would be a further round of auctions for spectrum including the advanced wireless service known as AWS-3 which offers better data transmission. The auction process will begin on March 3rd and 60 per cent of the available space will be for new operators, a move designed to increase competition in the sector.
