On its 10th year, the WP Awards will recognize individual, team, and organizations that embody excellence from across the industry
It’s that time of year once more: nominations are now officially open for the Wealth Professional Awards in 2024.
From December 11, 2023 until February 16, 2024, WP will be receiving submissions for the individuals, teams, and enterprises that represent the highest standards of professionalism, service, and innovation across the industry.
This is an opportunity to recognize the financial advisors, planning professionals, seasoned investing pros, wealth managers, wealthtech providers, advisory teams, and brokerages that are leading the pack today, and raising the bar for tomorrow.
The most promising and deserving individuals, chosen through an objective selection process and verified by an expert panel of independent judges, will be highlighted and honoured at the 2024 Wealth Professional Awards gala happening at the Liberty Grand in Toronto next June.
Jasmit Bhandal, chief operating officer at Horizons ETFs, won the ETF Innovator of the Year Award at the 2022 Wealth Professional Awards.
“I felt humbled and honoured to be a recipient of the award. However, I still think the credit should be given to everyone at Horizons ETFs – the great things we accomplish are only possible through our great team,” Bhandal says.
“While the recognition from peers in the industry feels wonderful, the real reward is in the work itself: building innovative products that inspire Canadians to trust us and ultimately, invest with us, to achieve their financial goals.”
For her, the WP Awards have been a great opportunity for members of the Canadian wealth community to celebrate one another and the broader industry, as well as bask in the successes of the past year.
“There’s so much hard work done behind the scenes to bring ETFs to market or client outcomes to fruition that sometimes you don’t have time to take stock of it all before jumping into the next project,” she reflects. “It’s important to be able to take a step back and celebrate the collective successes and contributions we’re making towards our industry.”
