Obama will stick to his word on Keystone XL

President Obama will carry through his threat to veto the construction of TransCanada’s Keystone XL Pipeline.

President Obama will carry through his threat to veto the construction of TransCanada’s Keystone XL Pipeline. Josh Earnest, a White House spokesman told journalists today that there wouldn’t be “a lot of drama or fanfare” but that the President would veto the plan. Congress agreed the legislation last month but without the President’s signature, and his agreement to the project through another process that is in his control, the delays for the pipeline will continue. However the Republican-controlled Congress is keen that the pipeline should go ahead and are expected to try another bill if the current one fails.
