Industry players across Canada will converge on Toronto to celebrate the kind of advisor and dealer excellence highlighted in today’s list of finalists for the WP Awards.
With today’s announcement of the last set of finalists for the Wealth Professional Awards brought to you by Invesco, advisors must now await the big night on June 5 when all will be revealed.
“At Invesco, we believe professional advice is critical for Canadians seeking to achieve their financial goals,” says Pat Pacchiarotti of Invesco. “We are delighted to partner with Wealth Professional in recognizing the best of the best and extend our congratulations to all of this year’s finalists for the excellent service they provide to their clients.”
One of the finalists in the “Best Practice Individual Advisor Office – 25 staff or less” category is Vancouver-based advisor Thane Stenner, a portfolio manager with StennerZohny Investment Partners+, a multi-family office within Richardson GMP Limited.
WP spoke with the industry veteran Tuesday about making the cut in this very prestigious category.
“It’s a real honour and pleasure to be nominated as a finalist,” said Stenner. “It’s something that our industry should constantly be striving for… as high a standard as possible. We’re being recognized for the standards we do stand for.”
“To be able to serve clients and the people you work with is a real honour. It’s just a nice recognition.”
A little farther east WP reached out to Saskatoon nominees Kevin Hegedus and Kevin Haakensen of Prairie Wealth Management for their reaction to being nominated in this category.
“It is a great honour to be a part of the esteemed group of finalists in the Best Practice – Individual Advisor category,” remarked Hegedus and Haakensen. “As business owners we intimately know the hard work, determination, and good fortune that it takes to run a successful practice, as well as the constant day to day commitment that it requires and we thank Wealth Professional for making this recognition possible.”
