Ontario Teachers has agreed to buy a moving and storage firm based in Florida. PODS which operates in Canada as well as the US, Australia and UK will be bought by the pension fund for an undisclosed sum, estimated to be around $1 billion, and the plan is to run it as a standalone business by the current management team.
