Wealth Professional's latest Special Report rounds up the five-star organizations and professionals from the past year
Wealth Professional is celebrating Canada’s best-in-class service providers, organizations, teams, and financial industry professionals with a Special Report rounding up all the 5-Star awardees from 2022.
In the Best in Wealth 2022 digital edition, WP showcases the wealth award winners from all its special reports last year. The definitive collection rounds up top-notch advisors, investment professionals, advisory teams, asset managers, brokerages, and fintech providers from coast to coast.
Over the course of 12 months, our Intelligence Unit has scoured the industry, sending out 25,000 surveys to our readers across Canada. Their relentless effort has uncovered a select field of change-makers, movers and shakers, and inspirational voices.
Many of the distinguished awardees from 2022 come from Wellington-Altus, which was among Wealth Professional’s 5-Star Brokerages in 2022. Since its inception in 2017, the firm has amassed more than $20 billion in assets under administration, cementing its reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
“This recognition celebrates our partners who have rallied around our shared vision to redefine what it means to be an independent wealth management firm with an entrepreneurial culture,” says Wellington-Altus Private Wealth President Jordy Chilcott. “Every one of our partners are in this together, collectively propelling our shared success and unstoppable momentum into the future.”
Selena Woo, vice president of Advisory Services – Associates and Operations at Nicola Wealth, was one of the 5-Star Leading Women in Wealth recognized in 2022. For her, it’s important not just to celebrate one’s successes, but also to share it with others.
“I truly believe that as you rise in your career, it’s important to lift others up along the way, because success becomes less about individual ambition and more about working together to build something great,” she says.
Conquest Planning, a financial-planning software firm that’s grown exponentially since launching 2019, was among the 5-Star Wealth Technology Providers in 2022. With its industry-leading artificial intelligence engine, Conquest has been a trailblazer in helping firms scale up their capabilities to provide advice to clients.
“A very large majority of the firms that we work with have viewed AI in a very positive way to drive efficiency within their practice,” says Brad Joudrie, chief revenue officer at Conquest. “We often use the analogy of a caddy and a golfer: SAM, our AI engine, suggests strategies or scenarios that might be most effective to consider for a client’s particular situation, and ultimately, the advisor is the one to hit the shot or make the decision to execute with their client.”
