Analysts were surprised by Twitter’s results which revealed stronger revenue and monthly active users than they predicted. Revenue was up 61 per cent on last year at $502 million with a $137 million loss. Adjusted earnings were 7 cents per share; analysts had expected 4 cents. Monthly active users were up 12 per cent year-over-year to 304 million. Twitter is currently looking for a new CEO to replace Dick Costolo who left a month ago.
