An oil spill off Vancouver’s English Bay has been confirmed as coming from cargo ship Marathassa.
An oil spill off Vancouver’s English Bay has been confirmed as coming from cargo ship Marathassa. CBC reports that the spill of almost 3,000 litres of fuel is 80 per cent contained according to the Canadian Coast Guard but the beaches in the Vancouver area are showing pollution. It could be some time before the full environmental impact of the spill is known.
