Wall Street digests data; World markets mixed

The main US indexes are expected to open slightly lower Friday as investors digest data from the previous session including GDP figures which came in above expectations following a revision upwards of Q1 growth.

The main US indexes are expected to open slightly lower Friday as investors digest data from the previous session including GDP figures which came in above expectations following a revision upwards of Q1 growth. Analysts are dissecting the Fed chair’s comments and recent data to firm up opinion on a rise in interest rates in September. Global markets are mixed so far Friday as regional earnings combine with international data. Asian markets closed mostly higher as China’s main index settled. European indexes have slipped back from early highs as US data and commodity prices weigh on sentiment.

US stock futures are trending lower. Oil is trending lower (Brent $52.64, WTI $47.52 at 6.20am ET) Gold is trending lower.
