Wealthsimple clients with more than $100,000 invested can expect something new
Wealthsimple, Canada’s top online investment service, has unveiled a new pricing scheme to accommodate the needs of all investors. The new pricing structure distinguishes between two services: Wealthsimple Basic and Wealthsimple Black.
Wealthsimple Basic is the service’s offering for clients with under $100,000. According to the company, it provides “simple, smart, low-cost investing to help [investors] meet their financial goals.” Wealthsimple Basic’s features are:
- 0.5% management fee
- A personalized portfolio
- On-demand financial advice from experienced portfolio managers
- Automatic portfolio rebalancing and dividend reinvestment
- The first $5,000 managed for free
On the other hand, Wealthsimple Black delivers premium services to clients with at least $100,000 invested. Aside from having all the features of Wealthsimple Basic, it has the following offerings:
- 0.4% management fee
- Priority Pass access to 1,000+ airline lounges globally for cardholder + one guest
- Goal-based financial planning with an experienced portfolio manager
- Tax-loss harvesting
- Tax efficient funds

The new pricing structure was conceived as part of a complete website redesign that aims for a more straightforward, intuitive, and transparent investing experience.
