The new appointee has more than 20 years of experience in finance
LOGiQ Asset Management has appointed Mary Anne Palangio as its chief financial officer.

Palangio has had significant experience as a financial executive, which consists of an extensive background in corporate finance, operations, and investment management spanning more than 20 years. She most recently served as chief financial officer at the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Administration Corporation, prior to which she held several senior operations roles within Manulife Financial. She held various senior operations and finance roles at Perimeter Financial, Edgestone Capital Partners, and the Canada Life Assurance Company.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and economics from the University of Toronto, as well as the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Palangio succeeds Derek Slemko, who has been with the LOGiQ group since 2006 and was most recently its CFO and CEO. “We are pleased that Derek will remain with us, in an advisory role, over the next several months to ensure a smooth and seamless transition,” Canavan said.
