Since 2016, Guy Cormier has been president and CEO of Desjardins Group, the leading cooperative financial group in Canada and sixth largest in the world, with assets of more than $248 billion. Desjardins is also of the 20 largest employers in the Canada, with 47,000 employees and more than 5,000 elected officers. After Desjardins’ insurance arm acquired State Farm’s Canadian operations back in 2015, last year saw the company undertake the major initiative of rebranding State Farm offices to Desjardins Insurance.
