TDAM introduces new mutual funds and US dollar options for investors

TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM) has introduced new mutual funds and US dollar purchase options for certain existing series as part of its expanding solutions suite.

Starting today, investors can access the following new mutual funds:

  • TD Global Disciplined Equity Alpha Fund
  • TD Target Maturity Bond Funds
  • TD Global Technology Leaders Index Fund
  • TD Preferred Share Fund
  • TD Canadian Long Term Federal Bond Fund
  • TD US Long Term Treasury Bond Fund

In addition, US$ purchase options are now available for the F-Series and Advisor Series of the TD US Equity Focused Fund, as well as the F-Series of the TD US Index Fund.

David Sykes, senior vice president and chief investment officer at TDAM, noted that the new offerings are designed to meet evolving investor needs by focusing on quality, disciplined risk management, and investment excellence.

He highlighted that these solutions demonstrate TDAM’s capabilities and the expertise of its investment teams in addressing the diverse needs of clients.

The TD Global Disciplined Equity Alpha Fund is designed to provide robust risk management through in-house risk modelling. It aims for potentially attractive risk-adjusted returns by deriving company factor information from various data sources.

The fund's technology-driven approach offers dynamic factor exposure with a style-agnostic method across sectors and market capitalisation levels.

The TD Target Maturity Bond Funds provide investors with a choice of Canadian or US dollar exposure to investment-grade corporate bonds, aligning cash flow needs with known maturity dates.

The active management approach aims to strategically respond to market events and seek higher yields while managing declining yield risk in the final year of maturity.

The TD Global Technology Leaders Index Fund tracks the performance of a global equity index focused on mid- and large-cap technology issuers, while the TD Preferred Share Fund primarily invests in Canadian-listed preferred shares and income-producing securities.

Additionally, TD Canadian Long Term Federal Bond Fund and TD US Long Term Treasury Bond Fund are now available in D-Series, aligning with TD Canadian Long Term Federal Bond ETF (TCLB) and TD US Long Term Treasury Bond ETF (TULB).

These funds focus on earning a high rate of interest income from longer-dated securities in their respective markets.

With the introduction of these US$ purchase options, investors can now further customise their portfolios with the F-Series and Advisor Series of TD US Equity Focused Fund and F-Series of TD US Index Fund, available in US dollars.
