Owners of a Medical Spa and Health Centre go to court over allegedly fraudulent medical claims
There has been yet another Canadian insurance fraud case as the owners of a medical spa and health centre face charges.
The duo was arrested for fraud surrounding the centre, which is located near Dufferin and Dundas.
According to a report at 630 CHED, it has been alleged that the owners of the Ritual Med Spa and Health Centre submitted fraudulent claims in collaboration with members of LiUNA Local 183. The story suggests that claims were filed with Manulife Financial, Sun Life Financial and Great West Life – with the insurers paying out on the claims. The funds were then divided between the claimant and the health centre.
The owners of the health centre, Adriana Grazini and Mario De Jesus Santos, both 46, were arrested late last week and face three fraud charges.
