New funds use equity allocations and option writing to support cash flow and capital growth
Mackenzie Investments has introduced two new funds, the Mackenzie Global Dividend Enhanced Yield Fund and the Mackenzie Global Dividend Enhanced Yield PLUS Fund.
According to the press release, these funds promise to provide a diversified equity allocation with a focus on generating stable cash flow and capital appreciation.
The Mackenzie Global Equity & Income Team manages the Funds, focusing on selecting businesses from around the world that they believe can deliver consistent results.
The Mackenzie Global Dividend Enhanced Yield Fund invests in global equity securities and uses strategies like writing cash-covered puts and covered calls to maintain stable cash flow and support growth.
The Mackenzie Global Dividend Enhanced Yield PLUS Fund, classified as a liquid alternative mutual fund, applies a similar strategy but includes leverage to potentially increase cash flow and capital appreciation.
Kristi Ashcroft, executive vice president of Products and Solutions at Mackenzie Investments, stated that many investors are exploring investment options that provide higher income and steadier returns than traditional equity funds.
She said the Funds combine stock selection and option writing strategies to address these preferences.
Ashcroft noted that the Funds promise to provide enhanced yields by employing disciplined equity investment and income-generation strategies, offering an option for portfolios looking to achieve stable income.
