IG advisors will offer clients digitized estate planning tools through a new partnership with ClearEstate
IG Wealth Management (IG) has announced a new strategic partnership with ClearEstate, a Canadian fin-tech company that specializes in estate planning and settlement services.
This partnership, combined with an equity investment from IG's parent company, IGM Financial, is intended to strengthen ties and expand estate services for clients.
ClearEstate’s platform guides executors and assists with estate settlement using a digitized approach. This is important as half of Canadians lack a will, and one-third of those who have one require updates to their estate plans.
Through the collaboration, IG advisors will offer clients estate planning services, including will creation, power of attorney documents, estate plan optimization, and the appointment of professional executors.
The partnership supports advisors in assisting families with the estate settlement process, providing personalized and efficient services.
As many Canadians may only serve as executors once or twice in their lives, often during emotional times, IG advisors will use ClearEstate’s platform to help clients navigate the complexities of estate planning and settlement.
