Al Jones, the new chair of Advocis, brings experience and dedication to his leadership role
Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, has appointed Al Jones as the new chair of the board of directors.
Jones brings experience and a proven leadership track record to the role.
Jones started his career with London Life in 1996 and currently serves as the President of A. Jones Wealth and Estate Planning Inc. in Barrie. His commitment to the industry and Advocis is evident through his long-term affiliation and active membership in the Simcoe Muskoka Chapter.
Jones has held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the TFAAC Board and the Institute Board. He was the first to complete the national trifecta, working as the past chair of the Chapter Leadership Council, overseeing Advocis chapters across Canada.
He also held the role of honorary Colonel of the Grey & Simcoe Foresters Regiment, appointed by the Governor General of Canada.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jones is dedicated to community service. He is a Qualifying Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and shared his insights at MDRT’s annual meeting in Boston in 2022.
“I am honoured to once again serve as chair of the Board of Directors for Advocis,” Jones stated. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated members to continue advancing the profession and supporting financial advisors across Canada. Together, we can uphold the highest standards of excellence and foster a community of growth and innovation.”
