CSA welcomes Sophie Jean, Brigitte Catellier, and James Sinclair to its Investor Advisory Panel
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has announced the addition of three new members and the reappointment of two members to its Investor Advisory Panel (IAP).
The new panel members are:
Sophie Jean: Starting her three-year term on December 15, 2023, Jean, a securities lawyer, previously held key positions at the Autorité des marchés financiers, including director of Supervision of Intermediaries and executive advisor.
Brigitte Catellier: Beginning her three-year term on July 1, 2024, Catellier serves as the associate director of the Investor Protection Clinic at Osgoode Hall Law School and is an adjunct professor.
To ensure coordination between the CSA IAP and the Ontario Securities Commission’s Investor Advisory Panel:
James Sinclair: Starting his term on July 1, 2024, Sinclair brings over 35 years of experience in capital markets legal services, focusing on investor protection. He previously served as general counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission and acting director of Enforcement.
The reappointed members are:
Jason Alcorn: Beginning his renewed three-year term on September 1, 2024, Alcorn is an associate professor at the Faculty of Law of Université de Moncton and has served as senior legal counsel and special advisor at the Financial and Consumer Services Commission of New Brunswick.
Annick Kwetcheu Gamo: Starting her reappointed three-year term on September 1, 2024, Kwetcheu Gamo specializes in financial education, is a financial coach, and founded the Quebec non-profit organization Code F., Santé financière pour tous! (Financial Health for all!).
The CSA IAP has one vacancy and will seek applications for new membership through a public process in September.
