Edward Jones expands into Fredericton with its first full-time New Brunswick office

Edward Jones is set to open its first full-time office in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on Friday, led by Nadia Barry Fulgstad.

Announced on LinkedIn, this opening marks the firm’s expansion into the province and coincides with its 30th anniversary in Canada. The office, located at 74 York Street, is welcomed by Downtown Fredericton Inc.

Fulgstad, originally from Ireland, became Ireland’s first female national boxing champion in 2005 before transitioning to a successful career in financial services.

She first came to Fredericton to attend St. Thomas University, and over her 12-year career in lending and investments, she worked with other firms before joining Edward Jones.

Fulgstad plans to expand her team and meet the growing demand for personalized financial guidance in the area.

Explaining her decision to join Edward Jones, Fulgstad said the firm’s innovative approach allows her control over how she builds and manages her practice.

She noted that “with no pressure to sell proprietary products (because Edward Jones doesn't have any), strong peer support from her leaders and fellow advisors who root for her success, this all translates into more time to focus on better understanding client's comprehensive needs.”

Fulgstad aims to hire experienced advisors who run exceptional practices and are committed to their local community. “We’ve got this beautiful space in the heart of downtown Fredericton now," she added, expressing her intention to build a strong team.

The grand opening for Edward Jones will take place on Friday, September 13, marking a new addition to the Fredericton business community.
