Duane Green joins Aviva Investors as CEO for Canada and head of Americas Distribution, pending approval
Aviva Investors has appointed Duane Green as CEO, Canada, and head of Americas Distribution, pending regulatory approval.
Green is the former President and CEO of Franklin Templeton Canada, he departed that role in November of 2023.
Jill Barber welcomed Green’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted to welcome [him] to Aviva Investors.”
She added that he has experience leading a regional business and expanding assets across multiple client channels, along with an understanding of the Canadian asset management landscape and the Americas region.
Green expressed enthusiasm for his new role at Aviva Investors, stating, “I am incredibly excited to be joining Aviva Investors.”
He added that the firm has a scalable presence in asset management and offers a range of investment capabilities across public and private markets. He also looks forward to building on its success in Canada and the Americas.
Green has over 25 years of experience in investment management, having held multiple distribution-focused roles before becoming president and CEO at Franklin Templeton Canada.
Franklin Templeton Canada expressed gratitude for his “19 years of dedicated service,” in their announcement of Green’s departure late in 2023.
He also serves on multiple boards in Canada’s financial sector and has received numerous industry awards.
He will be based in Toronto and report to Jill Barber, chief distribution officer at Aviva Investors.
In this role, Green will lead the Canadian Distribution team and oversee business development and client relationships across the region.
