This black-tie gala celebrates excellence in wealth management, honouring top individuals and firms across 24 award categories.
Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception, seated dinner, awards ceremony, and post-show celebration.
Equiton's Geoff Lang, senior vice president, Business Development – Advisor Channel, said the firm is thrilled to sponsor The Equiton Award for Canadian Advisor of the Year, which recognises the very best in the industry.
He said it is an honour to be associated with the Wealth Professional Awards in highlighting trailblazers who are redefining client relationships, driving innovation and leading with purpose.
“Congratulations to all the outstanding nominees. We can’t wait to celebrate your achievements together this June.”
Last year’s honourees continue to reflect on the recognition.
Maili Wong, winner of the Equiton Award for Canadian Advisor of 2024, said the award “helps validate and recognize our efforts in a meaningful way.”
Kaila Stevenson of Sound Wealth Financial, named a 2024 Rising Star, shared how trust and connection built her success.
She said they try to understand their clients and make sure they fully trust them, which is why their referral rate is so high. Clients feel like they are part of their financial family.
Aaron Menon, also a 2024 Rising Star, highlighted his strategy, “I try to position myself as the quarterback of my client’s financial life. I meet with them and their accountants on a regular basis and having that team working toward a common goal is so valuable.”
Recognising the next generation was also echoed by Haven Wealth Management’s Josh Olfert, who said “what leads to the quality of a great advisor is somebody who sees this as something way beyond and way more meaningful than just a job.
These voices, among many others, reinforce the value of recognising excellence across all career stages.
Along with Equiton, this year’s event is backed by sponsors including Avenue Living, ICM Asset Management, IFSE, PPI, and Trez Capital. Their continued support helps spotlight talent shaping the future of wealth management in Canada.
With complimentary parking and a full evening of celebration, the 2025 WP Awards promises to be a standout event.
